Kimi rose to fame for being the first chatbot to comfortably handle book-length documents in a single chat. Its 2M-token context window is still among the largest available, and the product is tuned for the Chinese-language professional market: contracts, academic papers, financial reports.
For English-only workflows it is less compelling than ChatGPT or Claude, and like other Chinese assistants it has data-residency considerations for Western users. For Chinese-speaking knowledge workers it is hard to beat.
